Danielle has written three books on CoreTalents.
The third book: ’Krachtig met KernTalenten’ [Strong with CoreTalents] was published on 1 June 2018 and discusses ten themes for which the CoreTalents Analysis means huge added value: study choice, education, recruitment and selection, career guidance, high giftedness and high sensitivity, stress and burnout & boreout, HR policy, leadership, coaching, etc.
Many experts contributed to this third book: Prof. Dr. Dick Swaab (brain research), Prof. Dr. Elke Van Hoof (well-being, HSP and stress), Jan Toye of Palm Brewery and Fonds Ga voor Geluk (entrepreneur and suicide prevention among young people), Prof. Dr. Dirk Buyens (HR expert and Dean of the Vlerick Management School), ...
The second book: ‘Beken(d) Talent - ken je KernTalenten en maak de juiste keuzes voor je studies, je werk en je leven‘ [Realise your Talent: Know your CoreTalents and make the right choice for your studies, your work and your life] dates from 2012 and its 6th edition was published in 2018.
It describes what working with your strong CoreTalents actually means on the basis of the CoreTalents Analysis of 13 Belgian celebrities, including Prof. Dr. Jean-Jacques Cassiman (renowned DNA scientist), Goedele Liekens, Herman Brusselmans, Inge Vervotte, the late Prof. Dr. Roger Blanpain, … and even a Dutch one: Paul De Leeuw, on whose show Danielle was twice a guest.
The first book ‘Speel je KernTalenten uit, kinderspeelgoed vertelt wie je bent’ [Play upon your CoreTalents: Children’s toys tell you who you are] dates from 2004 and is sold out. Parts of it are still being used by many experts, because many insights were far ahead of their time. A CoreTalents Analysis is also very different from a quick trick with a questionnaire about your childhood as a good conversation opener ... Only an Accredited Analyst knows the ‘rationales’ behind the toys and can translate things happily done as a child to your CoreTalents as adults. It’s not because you wanted to care for dolls as a mini-mother that you have to become childcare worker. Or that you have to work in the automotive industry if you played with cars! Unfortunately it’s not that simple. On the contrary, it’s quite complex. But people simply are complex.
An Accredited Analyst does not play with people’s futures! Assessing each Small, Half and Strong CoreTalent is a skill, and correctly applying the combinations - for all 23 CoreTalents together, both inside and outside their group, as well as all their components - is not child’s play! Recognising all the CoreTalents from countless children’s games and translating these correctly into their significance as adults, requires thorough knowledge, because after all there are 94 billion possible combinations (3²³)!
This first book inspired countless gurus in the area of talent and talent management. Danielle shared in this book the insights she gained while interviewing more than 8,000 engineers and scientists over the previous 17 years. They are indeed still up to date and are eagerly used by HR staff, talent managers and other professionals. For example, the ‘ad test’ developed by Danielle and explained in detail in the same book is a particularly successful tool for career counsellors, coaches, HR professionals, etc.
Lectures and key note speeches
Danielle is appreciated as a passionate and enthusiastic speaker
Looking for an original perspective at your conference, symposium or event? With a theme that underscores your message? By an inspiring and interesting speaker? One that is not pushing open doors or serving old wine in new skins? Then this humorous reference from the Mensa October weekend of 2017 is appropriate: ‘Award winner Danielle Krekels gave a great presentation. For the first time: no one walked out of the hall!’
Danielle Krekels gives you a presentation that specifically focuses on your target group and spearhead theme, coupled with her special discovery of the CoreTalents. The examples and applications will sound like music to your guests’ ears, and Danielle presents valuable insights in an impassioned and enthusiastic, often humorous way. So everyone learns something and … will think back on your event positively.
There is indeed an infinite amount to say about the 94 billion possible combinations and the countless applications of the 23 CoreTalents that all have in a strong, half-strong or small degree. CoreTalents are determined on the basis of your favourite way of playing as a child, which in itself offers a rich source of possibilities and very pleasant anecdotes. Although a CoreTalents Analysis is not child’s play and its knowledge, as well as the countless applications, is serious. Based on this original perspective, Danielle shines the spotlight on your spearhead theme. That makes each speech different, but always fascinating and inspiring. All topics are possible: leadership, sales, strategy, innovation, talent management, HR policy, education, stress and burnout/bore out, high giftedness, choice of study, ambition, promotion, HR themes, education and training … The issue you choose is fully respected.
Danielle is herself an entrepreneur and draws on more than 12,000 personal CoreTalents Analyses with in-depth interviews she took at her engineering office, her selection agency for engineers and scientists, and over the 12 years that she collaborated with researchers worldwide at congresses as Belgian research and development manager for ICT development projects in EC Framework Programmes. Her three books and the analyses she carried out on dozens of Belgian celebrities - from Herman Brusselmans through Goedele Liekens to DNA expert Prof. Dr. Jean-Jacques Cassiman and the late Roger Blanpain - provide endless inspiration for illustrating your topic in a unique manner that is fascinating for all.
